2025 HLTH Recap

The role of HLTH in the healthcare PE and investment banking conference calendar has evolved over the past few years. Once an early-stage digital health and VC-focused conference, the event, hosted at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, has moved upmarket in recent years to welcome larger strategics, middle-market PE, and investment banking firms. Although the 2025 event was well attended, we perceived that numbers were slightly down from 2024, as did other attendees. We think this has as much to do with the health of key healthcare IT (HCIT) end markets as it does with the event itself. We heard multiple reports that, in consideration of the significant financial pressures they are facing this year, many large health systems and payers opted not to send large delegations to the conference. Although it is hard to predict when these end-market pressures will abate, we see encouraging signs in the data that point to the potential for a reinvigoration of healthcare technology deal activity in the coming years.
