Update: Emerging Dynamics in the SNFist Market

SNFist groups – physician or other provider groups that specialize in caring for residents of skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) – represent one of the more in-demand physician practice management models for PE investors today. SNFists provide clinical care that can reduce patient readmissions, shorten a patient’s length of stay, improve the likelihood of a successful community discharge, and reduce complications and safety events.

In mid-2025, Bailey & Co. published a report defining and scoping this market: SNFists: Innovation in Post-Acute and Long-Term Care.
